Eligibility Requirements                                     
  • Applicant must be 65 years of age or older.
  • Applicant must be a resident of Chester County.
  • Applicant must be a primary owner of the dwelling in need of
    repair.
  • Applicant cannot own any other real property.
  • Property must be the applicant's primary residence.
  • Total household income must fall at or below 50% of the
    Median Income limits.
Once your application is received and processed, our inspector will be in touch to
set up a time with you to come out to your home and go over your requested
repairs.
In order to protect the privacy of our clients, an appointment is required to enter our office. All applications must be mailed or deposited
in the lockbox at the front door. There are no exceptions! To make an appointment, please call the office at (610) 518-1522.

The Home Maintenance Program is administered by HPCC on behalf of the
Chester County Department of Community Development. This program provides
basic home maintenance, repairs and access modifications for residents of Chester
County, 65 years of age and older. There is a $4,500 limit on work to be
performed for each residence. This cost is considered a one time, full grant.

Work includes any type of home maintenance repairs. They can include, but are not
limited to, roof repair, heater installation, windows, decks, bathrooms, siding, etc.
